Hi there! I am Segin Gallagher and I am the 4th grade teacher here at Central Christian. I am engaged to an amazing man named Jacob and this coming May, I will be getting married! I also have a pomsky named Luna who is my pride and joy! When I am not at school and it is warm out, you can always find me hanging out by the lake or pool. If it’s a little cooler out, then I like to sew, knit, crotchet, and scrapbook. 

I attended Concordia Lutheran High School all four years. After high school, I attended PFW and received my degree in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics. I graduated in December of 2022 and the 2023-2024 school year will be my first full year teaching. I am so excited to see all of the memories 4th grade will create! 

There are so many amazing aspects of Central Christian, I think my favorite part of Central though, is that you can truly feel that Christ is at the center of all that is done here. We have monthly missions where every grade gives back to the community. We have our Bible Buddies where students of all grades are able to dive into the word together! It is such an amazing experience to watch students be in charge of helping one another find and follow Christ! On top of that, we have a curriculum that allows us to understand God’s design through a biblical standpoint. 

When I was younger, my family was not a Christian based family. In 2nd grade, a girl at school invited me to go to church for some kind of special event. Sadly, I don’t remember that little girl’s name, however I am 100% certain that God put her in my life because that was the night that I accepted him into my heart. Shortly after that, I got my family to go with me, got baptized and we have been going to the same church ever since. My testimony isn’t super “exciting” or “dramatic”, but I always love sharing it with my students to show them that you are never too young to be a servant of the Lord that helps others find and follow Jesus!
