New & Prospective Students

Welcome to Central Christian School!

Admissions (for new families)

Each of the following must be completed and brought to the Administrator Interview/Tour:

  • Read and sign Statement of Faith and Parent Expectations, as well as review the Dress Code Form (prepare to discuss at Administrator Interview)
  • A current report card
  • All standardized test scores: ISTEP, NWEA, DIBELS, or any nationally normed standardized results
  • If applicable: IEP, 504, custody documentation, etc…
  • Homeschool Applicants: Contact the Office Administrator for instructions on reporting academics
Interview and Assessment (for new families)
  • Interview and tour with the Administrator, including Academic Evaluation, will be scheduled by the school office
  • Following Administrator Interview and tour, you will be contacted with a decision regarding your student's admission
  • If there are more potential students than available spaces for a particular grade level, then a random, public draw must occur (see Lottery Process below)
  • Enrollment packet given upon acceptance

School Schedule

The Central Christian school week is Monday through Friday beginning every day at 8:00 am. Students may arrive as early as 7:30am for Walker’s Club. Students are dismissed from Walkers' Club at 7:50 to go to their classrooms. Dismissal is at 3:00 p.m. every day except Wednesday which has an early dismissal at 2:30 p.m. We offer after school care.


Enrollment Procedures (for all families)

Your student needs to have the following items in the school office before enrollment is finalized. Basic requirements for student enrollment:

  • Immunization Forms (CCS Office has copies of it if you need to take it to your doctor)
  • Physical Form (CCS Office has copies of it if you need to take it to your doctor)
  • Completed Application for CCS*
  • Statement of Faith
  • Release of Liability and Picture Forms Signed
  • Registration Fee paid* (see Registration Fee on Tuition and Fees Policy page)

*These two items must be completed and turned into the office in order to secure your child(ren)’s spot in the classroom.

Lottery Process

Following the Current IDOE Guidance That States:

  1. The admission process of the school and the Choice Scholarship/lottery process are two distinct processes. Students must meet the school’s admission process and criteria before being considered for a Choice Scholarship. If a student meets the admission criteria and would enroll contingent upon their ability to pay tuition and fees, then they can be considered a potential voucher recipient.
  2. If there are more potential Choice Scholarship recipients than available Choice Scholarship spaces for a particular grade level, then a random, public draw must occur.
  3. If there is sufficient space (or sufficient space can be made) for any potential Choice Scholarship recipient that meets the school’s admissions requirements then a lottery would not be necessary.
  4. A school accepting Choice Scholarship students may have a priority enrollment deadline upon which a determination is made as to whether or not a lottery is necessary for Choice students admitted by that date.
  5. If a lottery is held, the only students who may be excluded from the lottery process and given preference for enrollment are students who 1) have siblings enrolled at the school; or 2) students who attended the school in the prior year.

Current students and siblings will be processed by the second Friday in February each year. If there is any room left in the classrooms, we will open up a lottery to all new Choice Scholarship and non-Choice Scholarship students. Families will be notified the third week of February. The lottery will be held each year the fourth Monday in February.
