Our Identity

Our primary objective is to encourage each student to have a personal relationship with Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All Truth and Knowledge comes from our Creator and the process of learning is discovering more about Him. As we study His creation, we can begin to experience a greater awareness of His Majesty.

Our goal is to
  1. Create lifelong learners of the Lord using
  2. Christ-centered curriculum
  3. with a personalized approach.

These methods prepare and equip students for high school as well as produce a Biblical worldview in all areas of academia. The students learn in an environment where the gospel of Jesus Christ is believed and confessed. Although “we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God”, God’s goodness, great love, and power work through us in order to forgive one another, love one another, and praise God in the classrooms and hallways of CCS!

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

Faith
Statement

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative written Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ was God in human flesh, at once fully divine and fully human.
  • We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death on the cross, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, His present ministry of intercession, and His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that human beings were created in the image of God, but they rebelled against God and are, therefore, fallen, lost, estranged from their Creator, and in need of salvation.
  • We believe that only those who, in repentance and faith, receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord are converted, born again of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin and enables the Christian to pursue a life characterized by personal holiness and faithful discipleship in obedience to Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that the church, the “body of Christ,” is composed of all those of every nation who through saving faith have entered into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ. We further believe that the church is at the very center of God’s purpose and that He has committed to the church and every member of it the task of making Christ known throughout the world.
  • We believe the local congregations of baptized believers exist to equip the body of Christ through such means as: worship, teaching, fellowship and prayer, to spread the gospel of Christ, to extend the influence of the Kingdom of God in the world, and to turn themselves outward to local communities in evangelistic witness and compassionate service.
  • We believe that the reality of sin in the human heart results in suffering injustice, strife, and moral decay in society and fosters negligence toward nature and the environment.
  • We believe that in Jesus Christ the way of love and reconciliation is revealed as God’s way for His people and that the people of God are called to value the sanctity of human life, alleviate suffering, oppose injustice, refrain from force and violence, work for peace in all relationships, and to live as responsible stewards of all of God’s creation.
  • We believe in the resurrection of all people: those who are saved unto the resurrection of everlasting blessedness with the Lord and those who are lost to eternal separation from God.
  • We believe that in the fullness of time God will bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one Head, the Lord Jesus Christ.

History

Before Central Christian School was established in 1996, Pastor Don and other interested parents had a vision. This vision was to provide an educational setting where they could also disciple kids and mature them in their spiritual knowledge and growth. They wanted the students to see that their Creator’s hand is in every area of life.

The school’s curriculum was of utmost importance . They wanted a curriculum that was research based and Christ-centered. The group decided on Abeka. Heidi Good, one of the parental founders said,

“We wanted the Word to be woven into every subject and for students to see how everything was designed by The Lord.”

After much research and many prayers, Central Christian School was in session. The school’s first year started with nine students in kindergarten. Pastor Don recalls how in the beginning years the entire school filled up only one pew. As the students were promoted classes were added until grade eight.

Central Christian School has had many wonderful administrators, all of which shared the same love for Jesus and Christ-centered education. The original vision remains, but has also been built upon. Extra curricular classes, sports programs, accreditation, and Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) have all been added to the already established firm foundation. We thank Jesus for each and every student and are humbled by His grace, mercies, and Truth!

Our Parent Church

We partner with Central Ministries in discipling students and families for Christ. Central Ministries is a non-denominational church that intentionally reaches out to the spiritually lost with the love of God through Jesus Christ. All three lead pastors in Central’s history, Wayne Goldsmith, Don Delagrange and Jeremy Helmuth, the current pastor, still serve this church family, along with committed staff, plus hundreds of faithful volunteers.
