Make a Difference for Our School!
Did you know your regular shopping trip could earn money for our school? With Box Tops for Education! Each Box Top is worth $.10 for our school! Box Tops can be found on hundreds of products. Clip them out and glue or tape to the sheet that was sent home. Download the Box Tops for Education Bonus App and earn even MORE money for CCS! The class with the most Box Tops will win a class prize (EXTRA RECESS)! Our first collection date deadline this school year is Wednesday, October 25th. Thank you for your support!
Don’t forget to check your child(ren)’s grades on Alma. Teachers update grades weekly on a regular basis. Teachers also send “Grade Alerts” via email if your child’s grade drops below a C- in any subject.
September Service Project-Quarter 1 Serving Others:
CCS will be collecting new children's/toddler Bibles and/or Christian books for all ages. We will be giving these items to a ministry at Woodburn Missionary Church called Closet 1:27. They provide supplies for Christian adoptive and foster families.

FIE (Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment):
Be sure to ask you child(ren) about all the things we are learning! Also, check out the bulletin board across from my office and posts on our CCS Facebook page to see what we have been learning. God created us with great minds!
Hypothetical Thinking-Also known as “Iffy thinking” cause (IF), effect (THEN)
Understanding Point of View-Putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes, having a referee inside our head, thinking about what makes us who we are and how we see the world-our frame of reference and being able to understand someone else’s frame of reference. Doesn’t mean we have to agree, but helps us to understand the other person. Using Matthew 18 to solve conflicts!
Controlling Impulsivity-STOP, freeze, pause, wait! Fruit of the Spirit-Self-Control, check out this hilarious video that demonstrates this Cognitive Function perfectly:
Walk in the Light (John 8:12)
