CCS Newsletter Week of 9-18-2017
Hello CCS Families,
We had a fun week this past week with our CCS Family Fun Night (CCSI) and Grandparents/Grandfriends Day! Thank you to all the coordinators and volunteers and to all the CCS families that came out for each event.

Week of September 18:
- Monday, September 18: Vision Screening/Cheerleading Practice 5th-8th 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- Tuesday, September 19: Kindergarten-(Ellis) to Ellis Homestead for Cider Making
- Wednesday, September 20: 2:00 pm Dismissal
- Thursday, September 21: Picture Day/Archery Club 3:00 pm -5:00 pm
- Friday, September 22:
Don’t forget to check your child(ren)’s grades on Alma. Teachers update grades weekly on a regular basis. Teachers also send “Grade Alerts” via email if your child’s grade drops below a C- in any subject.
September Service Project-Quarter 1 Serving Others:
CCS will be collecting new children's/toddler Bibles and/or Christian books for all ages. We will be giving these items to a ministry at Woodburn Missionary Church called Closet 1:27. They provide supplies for Christian adoptive and foster families.
Here at CCS Monday, September 18 for grades K, 3rd, 5th, 8th and any teacher referrals
Cheerleading Sign Up:
Practice is every Monday! Registration/Sign up for girls in grades 5th-8th (Cheer Squad) has already been sent out in an email. Registration/Sign up for girls in grades 2nd-4th (Junior Cheer Squad) will be sent out in October. Practice for 5th-8th Cheer Squad will begin Monday, September 18, 2017. Please register/sign up asap if you haven’t already! Students must meet academic requirements and eligibility rules to participate in cheerleading (see Parent-Student Handbook pgs.7-8).
Archery Club meets: September 07, September 21, September 28, October 05, October 10, October 17, October 26, November 09, and November 16. Students must meet academic requirements and eligibility rules to participate in archery (see Parent-Student Handbook pgs.7-8).

Be sure to ask you child(ren) about all the things we are learning! Also, check out the bulletin board across from my office and posts on our CCS Facebook page to see what we have been learning. God created us with great minds!
